Excursions
We offer all kinds of excursions on the island: cultural and scenic, full-day or half-day, private or group. We rely on our professional tour guide Dogo, who is also the owner of the B&B, and will show you the beauty of this wonderful paradise.
Excursion on the boat near Mnemba atoll. Being a private atoll it is not possible to dock but surrounded by the coral reef, it represents a spectacle for snorkeling lovers. Before arriving there, you will admire the dolphins that live in that stretch of sea and you can swim with them (if you are lucky!)
Full day excursion. You will take the boat to reach Prison Island become a “reception point” for a species of giant Seychelles tortoises and peacocks. We will move to the sandbar of Nakupenda (called “Neverland” and in Swahili means “I love you”) where you will feel like you are living a few hours in a remote atoll. The lunch is based on fresh fish.
Full day excursion. You will take the boat to reach the protected area of Menai Bay. You can snorkel and depending on the tide, stop at the Blue Lagoon, a mangrove lagoon or visit the centuries-old baobab. Lunch (fresh fish) on the nearby beach where you can relax and sunbathe.

Full day excursion to visit the south-east part of the island: we will visit Jozani Forest, the last remaining indigenous forest on the island observing the famous red monkeys of Zanzibar as well as a multitude of colorful birds and butterflies. After exploring the forest, we continue towards the quiet beach of Mtende, a corner of paradise hidden away from the tourist routes. We continue towards Kizimkazi, Salaam Cave, where you can swim with turtles, the immense beaches of Jambiani and Paje and visit the restaurant The Rock. End the day with a sunset aperitif on the beach of Kae Funk.
Boat excursion. We will take you near the island of Tumbatu. There you will snorkel (fins and masks provided by us) above the coral reef to admire the abundance of live corals, starfish and tropical fish as well as turtles. Then we will dock on the island of Tumbatu to relax and eat fresh fruit.
